When you think of getting help, you go into a program thinking they have your best interests in mind. That they will do everything they can to help you get better. Instilling in you that they, alone, understand. There are many who come into the field and, at some point, it often turns into something else. Unless you have a firm foundation in your morals, it is easy to give into the system because they will pay you really well. They count on your fear and dependance to keep the machine going. Pinky’s up, as we spill the tea from behind the curtain…allegedly…

All writing is mine and mine alone unless explicitly told otherwise by any individual. These are all alleged stories to educate when self regulation and accountability are not taken.

It’s scary to tell your story, to let down the walls and walk into the fear. Taking that giant leap off and trusting that it will play out as it should. When there is a sense of justice that runs so deep in your veins that it is a part of your very molecular makeup?

Often people will come into a drug and alcohol treatment center, with tremendous sexual trauma. Usually deep seeded and generational. Where these humans come to a program to get help dealing with their past, their addiction, or just jumping from one program to another because they have become used to living in treatment. California is guilty of letting programs with predators continue to work in treatment and get away with terrible practices. These humans come to California because who wouldn’t want to get better in California and maybe get famous? The owner has a yacht and was gifted a Bentley so he MUST be important. Whoops his had is on a clients ass at the alumni meeting? Normal…Allegedly…

When a client reports staff sleeping with them and then they are called liars or their mental health diagnosis is used against them. Suddenly they can no longer be trusted and called erratic. Shockingly, after this client has been called a liar long enough or “bought off”, they relapse or act out in a self destructive way. Suddenly they are sent away to some other facility, one of the sister programs, to “detox” because there was a time detox policies paid higher then IOP paid out..allegedly…

When people reach out after you are no longer working somewhere, and haven’t been for a while, that speaks volumes. When a program has continue to mess with your licensure testing, in which you must pivot careers and you still do the work for free? That speaks more then what their pretty cars do. Integrity is felt and people will see it. I will stand because I know what it is to work in this industry and be broken by the industry. To see what you once loved, twisted by men who want the pretty cars and pretty houses. Who will try every scam to keep the money hidden. People don’t have the option to speak out becuase we live in an age where most are one paycheck away from being unhoused.

Clients are being abused by the people sworn to protect them. They are abusing them sexually, psychologically, physically, and financially when they just need guidance and a chance to maybe heal for a second. Maybe we should actually help them instead of using them…allegedly…
